Conservative orthopaedics is the non-surgical treatment of complaints affecting the musculoskeletal system, i.e. bones, joints, muscles or tendons, e.g. following injuries or in cases of wear and tear such as osteoarthritis. Not every (sports) injury or case of osteoarthritis requires surgery. There are also a variety of treatment options for inflammation of the musculoskeletal system, e.g. the tendons, as well as for chronic or rheumatic joint diseases, which do not require a scalpel or immunosuppressive drugs such as cortisone.
Chronic or recurring joint inflammation, pain or even osteoarthritis can originate far away from the painful joint and actually be symptoms of an imbalance in the body – such as disturbed intestinal flora, unbalanced hormone levels, nutrient deficiencies or viral diseases. Our diet is another important factor in this regard, but despite numerous campaigns promoting healthy eating, it is given too little or the wrong kind of attention.
Every person is different and every body has its own individual requirements. We combine hospital medicine with holistic approaches in order to diagnose orthopaedic complaints comprehensively and accurately, treat them in a targeted manner, or provide long-term support for healing after injuries or operations.
The path is not always straightforward or easy. That makes us all the more delighted to be able to accompany you on your journey.
