Our practice is barrier-free and wheelchair accessible. There are wheelchair parking spaces in front of the door, and a ramp provides access to the practice.

By public transport you can reach Lucerne main stationFrom there, it's a short walk along the lake to our practice. Alternatively, Werkhofstrasse stop with a short walk to the practice.
Covered bicycle racks are available directly next to the practice.
Due to the high volume of inquiries and on-site patient care, it may be that we are unable to answer the phone immediately. We strive to return all callers as quickly as possible, at the latest by the end of the day.

Proctological examinations can be billed through health insurance/basic insurance.
Orthopedic consultations can also be billed through basic and supplementary insurance, depending on the length of the consultation. If supplementary insurance is not available, a deductible may apply for some treatments.

All other consultations can be covered by supplementary insurance (VVG/complementary medicine). If supplementary insurance is not available/does not cover this, the consultation is a self-pay service.
Further diagnostics (microbiome analyses, SIBO tests, special analyses and many infusion therapies) are often self-pay services.
Initial appointments:
We take 60 minutes for each initial appointment to provide you with professional and customized therapy.
In this context, we also conduct file studies and documentation, which are billed individually based on the effort required per consultation.
The same applies, of course, to telephone or online conversations as well as email correspondence, even between scheduled on-site appointments.
We bill in 5-minute increments. 300 CHF/hour.
Proctological and orthopedic examinations are billed according to Tarmed and can be submitted to the health insurance company. In the case of extended consultations, a self-payer portion applies depending on the scope.
Supplementary insurance:
If you have supplementary insurance, you can submit our invoices through this (VVG/complementary medicine).
Depending on the insurance model, a referral for connection to the proctological and orthopedic consultation is mandatory.
A referral with all diagnoses and previous examinations makes our work easier.
Please bring all relevant health findings such as laboratory data, examinations, diagnosis lists, X-rays or MRI/CT images (conservative orthopedic consultation), presentations at other clinics/practices that could be important for your health record and current concern.
More information about your health and treatment history helps us to get a good overview of you and avoid unnecessary diagnostics.
You will also receive a Health questionnaire, which gives us a good insight. Please bring it with you to your initial consultation or email it to us in advance.
Please bring a current list of your medications and dietary supplements including dosage and supplier You are also welcome to bring the original packaging.
You will receive an invoice for all services directly to your home.

1. What exactly does Nutricum offer?
We are a specialized center for intestinal health, longevity, and integrative medicine. Our services range from microbiome analyses and proctological assessments to nutritional medicine and conservative orthopedics. You can find all of our services on our website under "Services."
2. Do I need a doctor's referral?
A referral makes our work easier. Depending on your insurance plan, these are required for proctological issues or conservative orthopedics. For all other consultations, however, you can schedule an appointment directly with us – very straightforward, without a referral. If you are referred to us by your family doctor, we would appreciate receiving any previous medical reports.
3. How does an initial appointment work?
At your first appointment, we'll take the time to discuss your symptoms in detail and discuss appropriate next steps—e.g., further diagnostics, laboratory tests, or a treatment plan. The goal is a clear assessment and a solution that's right for you.
4. Does the health insurance company cover the costs?
This depends on the type of service. Medical services covered by basic insurance (e.g., proctological examinations, medical assessments) are generally covered. Other services (such as microbiome analyses, infusions, longevity programs) are self-pay services. We always provide you with transparent information about the costs.

6. I have a very sensitive matter. Will it be handled confidentially?
Absolutely. Whether it's about bowel problems, rectal discomfort, or personal health questions – with us, discretion and respect are paramount.
7. Are there waiting times for appointments?
We strive to schedule appointments as quickly as possible. For urgent matters (e.g., acute pain), we can usually find short-term solutions.
